Acupuncture AR serves as a comprehensive atlas of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, incorporating the innovative functionality of augmented reality. This application allows users to localize and visualize acupuncture points on the human body in real-time through their device's camera.

Designed specifically for students and aspiring practitioners, Acupuncture AR aids in the identification of acupuncture points, offering an extensive atlas comprising 360 points along with their location images, puncture techniques, and associated actions or functions. The advanced search functionality enhances the user's ability to navigate through this information efficiently.

The standout feature of this application is its augmented reality capability, which enables users to visualize acupuncture points directly on the human body using their smartphone camera. It is important to note that while AR facilitates visualization, it still necessitates traditional palpation methods. Currently, 180 points can be visualized in real-time through a technique known as point segmentation, with additional points added in regular updates.

• Comprehensive coverage of the 12 main meridians, as well as the Governing Vessels and Conceptor, featuring a total of 360 points.
• Search functionality allows users to locate points by meridian or name using various nomenclatures (Pinyin, International, European).
• The atlas includes detailed information for each point: location, TCM actions, indications, puncture techniques, and image references.
• 180 points are currently available for live visualization in augmented reality on parts of the body such as the back and abdomen/chest, with more to be included in future updates.
